Hemet Little League Baseball and Softball Code of Conduct for Parents and Spectators
We, as parents and spectators, play a crucial role in fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for our young athletes. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved, we commit to the following code of conduct:
Respectful Behavior:
- Treat all players, coaches, officials, and fellow spectators with respect and courtesy.
- Refrain from using offensive language or engaging in any form of verbal abuse.
Zero Tolerance for Violence:
- Maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any form of physical violence, threats, or aggressive behavior.
- Ensure that conflicts are resolved through proper channels without resorting to violence.
Positive Support:
- Encourage and support all players, regardless of their skill level or performance.
- Avoid negative comments or actions that may undermine the confidence of players or coaches.
Follow Guidelines:
- Abide by the rules and guidelines set forth by Hemet Little League.
- Support decisions made by officials and coaching staff, even if you may disagree.
Healthy Competition:
- Emphasize the importance of fair play, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
- Recognize that winning is not the sole objective; the development of character and skills is equally important.
Sideline Etiquette:
- Stay in designated spectator areas and avoid encroaching onto playing fields or interfering with the game.
- Refrain from coaching players from the sidelines; leave coaching to the coaching staff.
Conflict Resolution:
- Address concerns or disputes through proper channels, such as league administrators or designated representatives.
- Avoid public confrontations or disruptions during games and practices.
Positive Role Modeling:
- Demonstrate positive behavior and be a role model for young athletes.
- Uphold the values of fair play, integrity, and respect both on and off the field.
Compliance with Policies:
- Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all league policies and procedures.
- Report any violations or concerns promptly to league officials.
Consequences for Violations:
- Understand that violations of this code of conduct may result in consequences, including suspension or expulsion from the league and or league events. Additionally, we reserve the right to remove your child from His/Her team indefinitely based on the nature of the violations committed by said parent or spectator.
By adhering to this code of conduct, we contribute to the overall well-being and enjoyment of Hemet Little League Baseball and Softball for all participants.
